Pitches and facilities

Pitches are let on a same household per pitch basis, and may be occupied from 3pm on the day of arrival. Pitchesshould be vacated no later than 11am on the day of departure. Within the amenity building you will find a shower, washroom and kitchen prep area with a fridge/freezer should you wish to use it.

Newton Lodge Campsite is situated in the beautiful County Durham countryside. Located a few minutes’ walk from the Tees Valley Railway Walk and (crucially) the pub in the pretty village of Mickleton. The Pennine Way is a couple of miles away, and popular spots like the waterfalls of Summerhill Force and High Force are within a 15-minute drive. You may also like to explore the town of Barnard Castle, approximately 15 minutes’ drive away, or you can hop on a handy bus service from just outside the site. Buses stop at several pretty villages along the way, which can be useful for walkers. From the tranquil beauty of the Teesdale landscape to the charm of Mickleton village, our guests are invited to discover the many wonders that await just beyond the campsite. Whether you're seeking a peaceful walk through the woods or a visit to the local heritage sites, we are here to help you make the most of your stay in Mickleton,

Mickleton village offers a nearby pub , dog friendly with a beer garden. Barnard Castle and Middleton in Teesdale offer Farmers Markets and there is public transport outside of the campsite to neighbouring villages.
